Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT) People often look to work with a counselor when they experience problems with mood such as depression or excessive anxiety. Research has shown that mood is related to how we think(Cognitions) and act (Behaviors). In CBT clients learn how their perceptions of their world and how they act in the world impact the moods they experience. CBT is goal-oriented, time-limited and active therapy. Interventions include Cognitive Restructuring, Social Skills, Fear Reduction and Mindfulness training. Back
