I have provided psychological services to clients from culturally diverse backgrounds since 2006. My experience includes both individual and group therapy. Because I do not believe that one size fits all, I integrate theoretical approaches from Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). RCT's basic premise is that humans yearn for connections with others. The healing connections come from growth-fostering relationship where two or more people actively participate in a relationship for mutual development and growth. Relationship is the foundation of my therapeutic work. I recognize that cultural influences affect who we are and incorporate such knowledge into my work with you. My definition of "culture" is defined broadly. It is not only about ethinicity, but your background, upbringing, values, beliefts, etc. I believe that individuals have autonomy to make their own choices. I provide a safe and supportive environment for you to explore and collaboratively work with you to help you come to solutions and inner peace.

Symbol: Water
I compare myself and my work to water. Water is not rigid. It is cool with a calm presence and reflects things the way they are.  It expands and flows with the container. My approach is flexible and individualized. I can be reflective yet directive depending on the needs of the client.
